...because life is crazy, and food is good.

I am slowly getting used to it raining every day. I forgot that Orlando becomes a tropical rainforest during the summer. Anyway, yesterday the storms pushed me snuggle up in some sweatpants and bake some cookies. These are my childhood faves. Enjoy. :)
Mom’s Oatmeal Cookies
1 C butter
1 C sugar
1 C brown sugar
2 Beaten eggs
2 1/3 C sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla (I always do more)
2 C oatmeal
Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Add vanilla. Mix dry ingredients and add in slowly; add oatmeal. (I added chopped walnuts, and chocolate chunks for one batch, and raisins in another). Bake at 375 for 9 minutes.
